The period after Napoleon’s overthrow from 1815 was dominated by events shaped by the Vienna Settlement as European states sought to refashion politics, international relations, the economy and society.
The kings of Europe did their best to fight off Liberalism, republicanism and Nationalism which all been unleashed by the French Revolution and Napoleon.
The Europe After Napoleon Course is aimed at preparing the learner for the requirements of the Advanced Level History Paper.
The course will cover the following:

- The impact of the Vienna settlement on Liberalism, Nationalism and Monarchical Absolutism
- The features, aims, successes and shortcomings of the Congress System
- The challenges after 1815 in terms of governance and the international relations.
